Patrick Ambrose

Stats: 13 disposals, five goals, four marks, two tackles

"Patty competed really hard again. He's been really consistent since he's come back from injury with his effort and competitiveness. He's being rewarded on the scoreboard and kicked another bag with five straight, getting them in different ways with ground balls, marking and tackling."

Nick Bryan

Stats: 25 disposals, five marks, one tackle, 43 hitouts

"It was a great battle in the ruck between Nick Bryan and Tristan Xerri. Nick's been working on his aerial contests and he really worked hard to get to them, which was really good for him. He ended up taking five marks and had 43 hitouts, and it was great to see him come up against a hardened ruckman."

Martin Gleeson

Stats: 18 disposals, five marks, five tackles

"Marty was solid again. I think he only got beaten in one contest and he used the ball pretty well. It was pretty tough for our defenders at stages as we turned the ball over in really dangerous spots, so our backs were scrambling. Marty could hold his head high - he battled hard for us."

Ned Cahill

Stats: 15 disposals, three marks, eight tackles

"Ned was on limited game time. Whether it was limited minutes or not, he wasn't as good as he's been in the last few weeks. He still battled hard, had a few clearances, tackled well and won his own ball."

Tom Hird

Stats: 13 disposals, two marks, four tackles

"'Hirdy' had some time as an inside mid and on the wing, and eventually ended up down back. We were just trying out a few different things with him and giving him a look at new positions. He'll take a lot from that game."

Brandon Zerk-Thatcher

Stats: 13 disposals, five marks, two tackles

"'Thatchy' was really hard to play against again. He battled hard, spoiled when he had to and marked when he had to. It was a good defensive game from him."

Cody Brand

Stats: 10 disposals, three marks

"'Brandy' was OK. He had a couple of intercept marks early in the game and a couple of big spoils again. He's improving and running out games a lot better. His ball use was at a pretty high level again. He's a nice, long kick, but he made the right decisions when to go short and when to go long. Not a bad game."

Lachlan Johnson

Stats: Nine disposals, one goal, 11 tackles

"Lachie was OK in the contests again. He had another 11 tackles and won his own ball. He's trying to get more ball on the outside, which he was better at this week. He kicked a nice goal on the run. There were little improvements again from Lachie."

Cian McBride

Stats: Five disposals, three marks, two tackles

"Cian didn't get a lot of the ball. A few times he could have gone third man up and helped in the air. He was good with ground balls, laid good tackles and defended pretty well."
