The Essendon VFL side has secured its third consecutive win with a 14-point win over Sandringham at Trevor Barker Oval.

In a see-sawing affair, the Bombers did enough to retain their lead for majority of the afternoon to come away 15.14 (104) to 13.12 (90) winners.

The match was highlighted by the return of AFL stars Kyle Langford and Will Snelling, who both played their first match minutes after lengthy injury layoffs.

Langford had an influential return, finishing with 20 disposals. Snelling also provided some spark throughout his limited time on ground collecting 12 disposals and five tackles.

Forward James Stewart and Kaine Baldwin led the charge in the front half, both notching three majors.

Mid-season recruit Jye Menzie also continued to make his presence felt, backing up his two-goal performance against Carlton with another two. Tom Cutler was also at his best finishing with a game high 35 disposals.

Unfortunately, injuries struck the Bombers in the second half with Stewart and Reid being forced out of the game.

Despite this, Essendon stood tall and quelled any attempt at a comeback from Sandringham.

The Bombers will now look to continue their hot-streak next week against the Williamstown Seagulls at Williamstown Oval.
