It was a tough outing for the Bombers at Avalon Airport Oval with the side suffering an 81 point loss to the reigning premiers.

Even with the Bombers kicking the first goal of the game, the side was unable to stay within touch of the Kangaroos.

The Kangaroos class was on show with the side capitalising heavily on turnover and punishing the Bombers on the scoreboard.

Defender Alex Morcom battled hard, while Co-Captains Bonnie Toogood and Steph Cain were also prolific in helping spur the team on throughout the afternoon.

The side will get a week off from official match play ahead of their round one clash against the Giants in Canberra.
