The accolades keep rolling in for Amy Gaylor, with the Dons youngster earning herself a spot in this year’s Intrepid AFLPA 22Under22 team on the interchange bench.
The annual fan-voted team celebrates the league’s future stars, highlighting the best players aged 22 and under who have made a significant impact throughout the season.
Fresh off an All-Australian squad inclusion, this achievement further cements Gaylor as one of the side’s most impactful and consistent players.
Since making her debut in 2024, Gaylor has featured in every game for the Bombers and has led by example both on and off the field.
A testament to her natural leadership qualities, Gaylor was also named among Essendon’s 2025 Emerging Leaders group earlier this year.
On-field, Gaylor proved her versatility and reliability. Commencing the 2025 season in a new midfield role, she was quick to impact the game in a different light from the season prior, where she spent most of her time in the backline.
As injuries tested the side during the season, Gaylor stepped up to the plate.
Showcasing her adaptability, she seamlessly switched between different positions and revisited the backline across the latter end of the season.
A truly exciting prospect in the AFLW space, Gaylor has a promising future ahead of her.
Gaylor joins teammate Madison Prespakis as the second Essendon AFLW player to receive this honour.
