Essendon Legend Dustin Fletcher will do a lap of honour ahead of the Bombers clash with Carlton on Saturday.

Fans will have the chance to thank the 400 game star for his contribution to the Club over his 23-year playing career when he’s driven around the MCG in the all-new Kia Stinger.

Fletcher is Our Comeback Hero for the match against the Blues and fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 1:45pm ahead of the tribute to the two-time premiership player.

A 17 year old Fletcher made his debut in round two 1993 against Carlton. The match ended in a draw and he went on to play another 16 games that year including the 1993 Grand Final win over the Blues.

A second premiership followed in 2000 when the full back also won the Crichton Medal in a year where the Bombers only lost one match on their way to a ten goal Grand Final win.

Fletcher was named in the All-Australian side for the first time that year.  He also picked up All-Australian honours in 2007.

His 400 games is the fourth most in AFL history.
