Essendon midfielder Dyson Heppell can accept a $900 fine after making negligent umpire contact during the Bombers 22-point loss against Sydney last Friday night.

Heppell will not miss any games.

The 22-year-old midfielder is enjoying a career-best season ranked fourth in the AFL for total disposals this season, averaging 27.6 disposals a match.
