Essendon’s high altitude training camp in Boulder, Colorado has been interrupted by heavy snowfall and freezing conditions.

As part of the camp powered by Antler the Bombers were scheduled to take part in a fartlek running session around Coot Lake.

Due to the exteme weather conditions on Wednesday the group was forced to abandon their original plans and move indoors.

“We were supposed to be outside running around a lake but we had a foot and a half of snow last night,” midfielder David Myers said.

“It was minus 15 degrees walking around this morning so we have had to come inside and do it on the treadmill.”

“We got what we needed out of the session which was a good sweat up and then we got stuck into the rest of the day.”

Following the indoor fartlek running the team took part in a skills session at Colorado University’s bubble.
