Warnie from The Traders, AFL.com.au’s NAB AFL Fantasy experts, will be taking a look at the Bombers each week exclusive to essendonfc.com.au.

LAST WEEK

An Anzac Day win wasn’t to be but as a consolation for us Essendon supporters, there were some impressive Fantasy efforts from some of the stars.

33 disposals and eight tackles helped Dyson Heppell (MID, $621,000) to the highest score of the game. An increase of $9K makes him the third most expensive player in the competition and the second highest scoring player.

As I predicted last week, Brent Stanton (MID, $534,000) had another great game against the Magpies after posting 143 and 150 last season. The midfielder racked up 30 disposals and scored 130 points.

TOP 5 SCORERS V COLLINGWOOD

  1. 138 – Dyson Heppell (MID, $621,000)
  2. 130 – Brent Stanton (MID, $534,000)
  3. 113 – Brendon Goddard (FWD/MID, $522,000)
  4. 104 – Cale Hooker (DEF, $473,000)
  5. 104 – Michael Hibberd (DEF, $462,000)

ON THE RADAR

Although Jobe Watson (MID, $579,000) had a quieter game that expected on Saturday, he is great value to pick up this week. With a few midfielders over the $600K mark, Jobe should give you good bang for your buck.

Michael Hibberd (DEF, $462,000) is now as cheap as he will ever be. His breakeven is 79, meaning even an average game for our running defender will see his price rise. Nailing consistent defenders has already proven to be a challenge so far this year and Hibbo is someone who you should be considering to bring in this week.

WHAT’S COMING UP

An eight day break before the game against St Kilda on Sunday should help freshen a few of the boys up. Brent Stanton should continue his great run. In his last two matches against the Saints, Stants knocked out 130 and 136 points. His price is heading north due to his low breakeven.

Brendon Goddard (FWD/MID, $522,000) is averaging over a ton in his last three games and should be one of the better performers when he takes on his former club in round five. Goddard averages 106.9 at Etihad Stadium in his last two seasons.
