Essendon will take in a strong side against the Saints this Sunday at Etihad Stadium.

Coach James Hird is confident that there won’t be any drop off from his players after a big month to start the season.

After a disappointing loss to Collingwood last week, Hird believes that the team will bounce back for a strong performance this Sunday.

“We know it’s a game that if we want to be a potential finalist we have to play well in,” Hird said.

“Eight day break, no excuses and our boys are ready to play.”

2015 draftee Kyle Langford will make his debut this week after impressing both in the NAB Challenge and for Essendon VFL.
