Essendon India lost after a strong and improved show against Indonesia Garudas in their 4th game of the tournament by 9-11-65 to 2-2-14.

The round 4 matches were back being played at the traditional venue of the AFL International Cup - Royal Park, Parkville, in windy conditions and there was a hint of rain in the air.

The match started with fast-paced Indonesia completely dominating for the first two quarters. Essendon India came back with their best quarter of the tournament in the third one after they scored 8 points courtesy of a goal and 2 behinds and the Indonesian team only managing a behind.

The momentum continued in the 4th quarter where although Indonesia scored a couple of goals, India scored their second goal. The Indian team got better as the match progressed which is a good sign for the team is heading into their final match against Pakistan Shaheens once again on Friday.

The Indian boys would be highly motivated to get the better of Pakistan. There was good support for both the sides. Jasim Akhtar, Asheet Kujur, Amar Roshan Bara, Mahesh Tirkey and Aashish Sharma were the standout performers for the Essendon India team.

The Indian team would also like to thank its sponsors Essendon Football Club, Air India, Boots For All and Jeeta Caterers, who helped the Indian team to come out to Australia and put up a good show.
