Cale Hooker's spectacular running goal from the boundary line, outside 50 metres, against Adelaide has been nominated for the AFL's Goal of the Year award.

The Essendon forward was in top form during a three goal third quarter burst, including the goal from the boundary.

He finished with four goals for the match and was among the Dons best.
