With Jonathan Simpkin set to be available this weekend, Essendon has reshuffled its playing list.

Simpkin was placed on the long-term injury list earlier this season because of a hamstring injury.

The move allowed Will Hams to be elevated to the primary list and the Gippsland product has since played five senior games.

Simpkin’s return to the field this weekend would normally see Hams return to the rookie list and therefore be ineligible of playing against Richmond.

But a vacancy remains with Mark Baguley ruled out for the season and placed on the long-term injury list last week.

Hams will now take the vice-captain's place and therefore he remains available for AFL selection this weekend.
