New recruit Paul Chapman has joined his teammates for his first official day of training at the True Value Solar Centre.

Chapman joined the club’s new recruits for a time trial around the club’s new training base.

The 32-year-old’s return to the training track comes two weeks after his new teammates due to Geelong’s participation in the 2013 finals series.

With the majority of the club’s senior players heading on a high altitude camp to Boulder the return of Chapman adds experience to the group of players remaining in Melbourne.

The development group remains at the True Value Solar Centre training alongside Dustin Fletcher, Brent Stanton, Jason Winderlich and Chapman.

Chapman has previously stated his desire to help in the development of the club’s younger players.

“I will be trying to help develop the young kids as much as possible and doing what is necessary for the team to be better,” Chapman said last month.

“I think the best thing for the football club is not just for the leadership group to have a say on everything. I think you need to hear from everyone and suphon it from there.”
