Essendon Football Club will once again embark on a high altitude training camp to Boulder, Colorado next Monday.

A select group of four players will head to Boulder to under take an intensive two weeks training camp.

Captain Jobe Watson, Cale Hooker, Michael Hurley and Michael Hibberd will work closely with high performance staff in preparation for the 2015 season.

The group will participate in a hikes through the Rockies as well as running and skills training.

High Performance Manager Justin Crow said the camp was important to these individuals pre-season training campaigns.

"We are excited that a select group of players will be returning to Boulder after holding a training camp there the last two seasons,” Crow said.

“Based on our profiling we are confident that this group will get some great benefits from the trip.”

“These players will get the opportunity to really concentrate on their fitness in an elite training setting at altitude which will enable them to build a base for the rest of the year.”
