Tom Bellchambers, Cale Hooker and Scott Gumbleton were all on hand this week leading Essendon’s annual RDFL/EDFL Under 14 Talent Camp at Windy Hill with great success.

Courtesy of Melbourne Airport, Essendon Football Club has a strong partnership with both the Riddell District and Essendon District Junior Football Leagues. The club continues to actively support the development of grassroots football within its traditional heartland of North-West Melbourne.

This year’s Talent Camp provided 40 gifted young players the opportunity to experience insights into life as a professional AFL Footballer and ended with a high standard two-sided match on the famous turf of Windy Hill.

Held over two days at Windy Hill, the Talent Camp provided insights into:

  • Fitness training
  • Football skills and drills with Cale Hooker, Scott Gumbleton & Tom Bellchambers
  • Game analysis with EFC Assistant Coach Simon Goodwin
  • EFC Club Tour
  • Recruitment/ Goal Setting
  • EFC’s “On the Ball” Program
  • Player welfare session with Essendon’s Welfare Manager Ash Brown
