Essendon players went back to school earlier this week as the playing group took time out of their busy pre- season schedule to visit a number of students in the north-west region of Melbourne.

As part of the Bombers' commitment to give back to local schools in the district, the players ran coaching clinics for some lucky kids across the Essendon area.

Run solely by Bombers players, the students were taught the basic skills of AFL whilst experiencing the excitement of interacting and being coached by professional footballers.

The clinics provided an opportunity for the Essendon players to not only give specialised coaching, but to personally thank the club's younger fans for their support.

Among those to run a coaching session were popular Bombers Dustin Fletcher and Stewart Crameri who visited local primary school Our Lady of the Nativity Primary School in Aberfeldie.

The players were swarmed by an eager class of students keen to show of their kicking and marking skills to the duo.

Essendon Football Club will next week travel to Wangaratta for the club’s annual community camp, sharing time with the local residents throughout the Alpine region.
