The Long Walk is pleased to again present the annual Women’s Luncheon for 2013.

Join former Essendon champion Michael Long to celebrate the contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women at the annual Melbourne The Long Walk Women’s Luncheon on Friday 11 October.

Held at the Peninsula at Central Pier, The Long Walk Women’s Luncheon celebrates the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in the wider community whilst raising imperative funds for The Long Walk’s 10th Anniversary celebrations in 2014.  A unique, awareness-raising event, the luncheon brings together Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and non-Aboriginal women from all walks of life to be inspired, network and to celebrate.

‘The Sapphires’ actress Shari Sebbens will be the keynote speaker of the luncheon. Shari, a proud Bardi Jabirr-Jabirr woman, was born and raised in Darwin. In 2012, Shari was awarded the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding New Talent at the Logie Awards for the television production, Redfern Now.

Join MC Kylie Belling, with a menu designed by celebrity chef Mark Olive as well as performances from beautiful showgirl Casey Donovan as well as guest speakers, auctions and major raffles.

We invite you to book a table of 10 for the luncheon and encourage donation of seats back to The Long Walk to assist women in our community partnerships with limited funds.  To do so please advise when booking.
