Some of what the fans had to say:

""Had a great season, despite a couple of weeks off with an arm injury. Really stepped up to the plate this year, after showing signs off success in the period he spent in the team last year.""

""Tireless work rate, impressive skills and great tackler. A most impressive first full season. Has the ability to win a B&F - could be one of the most successful rookie players in the league.""

""Always in the action. Can be relied on to present a contest. Should be in the Bomber midfield for a few years.""

""Super hard working player that is the ultimate tagger because he typically picks up more possessions than his opponents. It is very hard to find players that can do that.""

""Another of the midfield who had a consistent year despite injury, however like others in the midfield needs to kick more goals.""

""Our recruit of the year. Great effort to come back so quickly after broken arm but was needed and knew it. Took a little while to get going again but finished the season well. Showed what a lot of hard work can do. Just needs to continue to work on speed and stamina.""

""Peverill is a great contributer to the team effort. A fearless player who not only can get the ball under impossible circumstances but can dispose of it well also.""

""Committed and courageous player which was shown with his ablity to come back quickly after his broken arm. He has the toughest job to stop opponents and get the ball himself. His ability to find the ball and create may see him tagged next year.""

The wash up:
The fan's agreed that Peverill continued his good form from the previous season that saw him elevated to the senior list. A common remark from the Essendon supporters is that he always gives 100% and does everything asked of him. The fan's believe the wrist injury put a slight hiccup in Peverill's season, but he showed tremendous courage coming back after four weeks on the sidelines. He is courageous and has shown what a lot of hardwork can do, however like other midfielders, needs to kick more goals.

What Mark Harvey has to say:
You can never question his courage or the way he approaches his football. The way he plays - he throws himself in and under packs - he is going to have to learn how to hurt opposition players and not get hurt all the time, because eventually it will take his toll on him. He is very disciplined and he now has some direction in his football life, which is the most important thing. He will continue to make the most of being on a senior list because of how tough he has done it.
