The boys will go head-to-head this Friday as they take part in a full intra club match.

After building up to a full game over the last few weeks, the team will have their first four quarter hit-out a week before their first NAB Challenge game.

High Performance Manager, Justin Crow, believes that Friday’s “dress-rehearsal” will be an important step before the team’s opening game against Carlton.

“Everyone will be in the game with just a few exceptions,” said Crow

“Our list is looking in really good shape heading into our first NAB Challenge game against Carlton.

“The game should give us a good indication of where we are at with our fitness.”

The team’s only major concern is rookie Tom Wallis who will miss the next 6-8 weeks after he injured his hamstring during training.

Matthew Leuenberger, Mason Redman and Mark Jamar are the only other notable exclusions from Friday’s hit out.

Leuenberger is progressing well and has returned to running after injuring his achilles over the Christmas break.

The big man is expected to return to full training in the next fortnight, with the main aim being to give him a chance to be ready for the 2016 season opener against Gold Coast.

Mason Redman and Mark Jamar are not currently injured but are on modified plans aimed at improving their fitness for the season.

In positive news, Adam Cooney, Craig Bird and Nick Kommer will all have full participation in the training session after overcoming off-season ailments.

You can come and watch the full match this Friday from 9:30am at the True Value Solar Centre.
