Essendon’s VFL team has been awarded the best-conducted club in the VFL competition for season 2013.

The award was announced at Monday night’s J.J. Liston Trophy with the Essednon team winning by one vote ahead of North Ballarat.

Best-conducted club is voted on by the officiating umpires in each senior match during the season and is based on the teams match day behaviour.

Leroy Jetta, Nathan Lovett-Murray and Ben Duscher finished as the players with the most votes for Essendon’s team in the Liston Trophy all gathering 7 votes.

Steve Alifton (North Ballarat), Mitch Hallahan (Box Hill) and Jordan Schroder (Geelong) won in a three way tie with 17 votes.
