There was plenty happening at Essendon this week and the news was headlined by two big re-signings.

Jobe Watson announced the news all Bombers fans have been waiting for when he revealed his intention to play on.

He looked refreshed during his press conference and we're all looking forward to plenty more highlights throughout the remainder of his career. 

Jayden Laverde also re-committed to the Club for a further two seasons.

Essendon CEO Xavier Campbell said the Club has taken some big steps forward this season, but knows there is still much to be done.

We know Essendon and Carlton have won the most VFL/AFL premierships, but should the Bombers stand alone?  A new book from Mark Pennings details Essendon's most dominant period - four straight premierships in the VFA.

There were a few more list changes as well this week with the club thanking Shaun Edwards and Tom Wallis for their contributions.
