Essendon Football Club announced three new Life Members at the club’s 140th Annual General Meeting on Monday night.

Barbara Cullen, Luisa Gaetano and Glenda Wade were awarded Life Membership in recognition of 20 years of voluntary service to the club.

Cullen has worked with the club’s Hall of Fame since 1993 first in establishing EFC archives before moving to the role as curator until 2003.

Since 1998 she has been a Committee member of the Dick Reynolds Club and in 2006 was awarded Essendon Women’s Network Football Woman of the Year.

Luisa Gaetano is a member of the club’s Cheer Squad and has been an EFC member for the past 25 years. Since 1992 she has worked tirelessly as a Cheer Squad member providing important leadership to the group through her role as Joint Coordinator.

Glenda Wade has been an EFC member for the past 24 years and is also a member of the club’s cheer squad. Glenda works alongside Luisa as Joint Coordinator sharing the responsibilities of leading the EFC Cheer Squad from the front.
