Essendon has unveiled its 2026 Dreamtime Guernsey, to be worn during Sir Doug Nicholls Round against Fremantle, and under lights at the MCG in the annual Dreamtime at the 'G clash with Richmond.
Designed by Gunditjmara woman Aunty Karen Lovett, the artwork, titled “A Piece of Me”, symbolises her journey growing up in institutions, honours Elders who have passed, and reflects important symbols of Country.
The design also highlights different Aboriginal art styles and acknowledges those who have survived through policies and systems.

Each year, players from our men's and women's visit the Tiwi Islands for a cultural immersion experience. Our most recent group saw Isaac Kako, Jayden Nguyen and VFLW player Tayla Hart-Aluni spend the week there with a focus on cultural connection, community engagement and education.
