Make sure you get your Anzac Day fix this weekend with arch rivals Essendon and Collingwood set to battle it out at Windy Hill on Saturday afternoon.

After narrowly missing out on points in round one against Casey, the Bombers have bounced back to win their next two games against North Ballarat and Bendigo.

Meanwhile Collingwood is sitting 2-1 after three rounds with wins against North Ballarat and Coburg and a heavy loss to Port Melbourne.

Coghlan is currently averaging just under 24 disposals for the season while McLeod is averaging an impressive 18 disposals.

Alistair Kefford, who is holding the fort in the forward line, has also made a strong start to the season.

A number of AFL listed Bombers will once again take to the field with a team to be named on Thursday evening.

Captain Ben Duscher said the team was looking forward to a fierce contest against the Magpies.

“It is a really good opportunity for the boys to play well on such a big stage as well as the history around the game encourages everyone to do even more.”

“It is always good to get a bit of a crowd along to Windy Hill and we look forward to seeing as many fans out there as we can on Saturday afternoon.

Collingwood is the current holder of the Blue Star cup after defeating the Bombers by nine points in the 2013 season at Victoria Park.

The club encourages all fans to get along to Windy Hill on Saturday from 1:10pm to cheer on the red and black.
