With the Club's announcement of the final team for this Sunday's game, take the time learn a little more about fresh face, James Polkinghorne.

His career to date has taken many twists and turns.  A promising junior talent, Polkinghorne was picked up by the Brisbane Lions with the 41st pick in the 2007 National Draft.  He went on to play 94 games before his time with the club came to an end.

Polkinghorne returned to Melbourne and reignited his career with Essendon in the VFL.  After winning the best and fairest in 2015, Polkinghorne was added to the senior list earlier this year.
