Essendon has made one change to its line-up for the match against West Coast on Thursday night.

Matt Dea, a late withdrawal against GWS ten days ago, returns to the side after overcoming a groin complaint.

Patrick Ambrose will miss the game after being unable to overcome a back problem.

James Gwilt has been selected for his 150th AFL game, while Jackson Merrett will play his 50th match.

Essendon will allow Channel 7 to capture a number of inner sanctum moments throughout the match

Coach John Worsfold will wear a microphone for the entire first quarter.  His half time speech will also be broadcast. 

Line Coach Hayden Skipworth will be wired for sound as he addresses the players at quarter time and key midfielder David Zaharakis will speak to the commentary team in the lead-up to the game.
