Joe Daniher has earned a Mark of the Year nomination for his spectacular mark in Sunday’s game against the Saints.

The young forward seemed to hang in the air for an eternity as he climbed on top of St.Kilda’s Sam Gilbert to take one of the marks of the year.

It was one of seven marks taken by Daniher on the night, who also finished with two goals and five tackles.

As one of the most senior players in the team’s forward line, Daniher lead from the front working up and down the ground to provide a target for his teammates.

He was also selfless in helping teammates Orazio Fantasia and Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti secure goals of their own.
