Essendon legend Michael Long and current player Mathew Stokes are among 40 footballers named as the Northern Territory’s best.
The Northern Territory Government is set to name the AFLNT Team of the Century in September.
A shortlist of 100 players was named earlier this year and that group has been narrowed down to 40.
The group includes players who went on to star at AFL level, as well as those who remained in the local competition.
