Essendon Football Club is proud to announce, Fujitsu General Australia, has signed a four year extension to remain a Co-Major Partner of the Bombers until 2021.

Today’s major announcement comes just five days after the Club passed the 65,000 membership milestone for the first time in its history.

To celebrate the significant partnership extension, Fujitsu General Australia will be giving Essendon supporters the chance to win flights to Japan, the manufacturing home of Fujitsu air conditioning systems, at the Club’s next home game at Etihad Stadium.

Essendon CEO, Xavier Campbell, thanked Fujitsu General Australia for their ongoing commitment to the Club.

“We are extremely proud and excited to announce Fujitsu General Australia is not only part of Our Comeback Story, but will be part of the fabric of the Essendon Football Club until 2021, which coincides with our 150th anniversary,” Campbell said.

“Fujitsu General Australia joined us in 2013, during what was a trying period in our Club’s history. They have been nothing but outstanding partners for our organisation and we are extremely proud to be in the position to announce such a significant extension with them.

“They stood beside us through the tough times, and I would like to personally thank outgoing Managing Director, Mr Toru Ishizuka, Managing Director, Philip Perham and General Manager Sales & Marketing, Dave Smith, and their team for the continued support over the past three seasons.”

A key element of the partnership renewal will see Fujitsu General Australia remain proudly on the Club’s playing guernsey.

“Essendon and Fujitsu General Australia can now look forward with a great sense of optimism and excitement about what we can achieve together over the coming seasons," Campbell said.

“To date the Club has generated in excess of $10 million in revenue for Fujitsu General Australia through the Club’s national business network, and we will continue to focus on driving a strong commercial return on investment.”

Senior Coach, John Worsfold, and members of the Club’s Leadership Group will join Australian cricket Legend and Fujitsu Ambassador, Mark Taylor, to celebrate the partnership at Etihad Stadium this evening.

Managing Director of Fujitsu General Australia, Philip Perham, said the partnership extension is a significant show of faith in the Club’s direction.

“Fujitsu is proud to continue as co-major partner of the Essendon Football Club. The partnership is one based on common organisational values, and a strong focus on supporting the community through Australian sport and other key community initiatives," he said.

“Fujitsu General has been extremely satisfied with the business generated and brand development support that the partnership has provided over the past three years. The clubs’ loyal fans have been exposed to Australia’s Favourite Air during game day activations and through member benefits, and Fujitsu’s customers have had money can’t buy opportunities to engage with the team.

“Fujitsu General sees a future full of promise for the new generation Bombers. With more than 65,000 members supporting the team, and strong attendance at games, we wish the entire management team, support staff, players and supporters, all the best for the balance of the 2017 season and beyond. And most of all we’re looking forward to continuing to be a part of the comeback story of this truly great Australian sporting club.”
