Essendon VFL player, Nick Hind, has received the Jack Feain Best Clubman award at the Club’s Best and Fairest awards night.

Hind was recruited midway through the 2016 season and played 15 games for the Bombers this year.

“To be recognised as the Best Clubman in your second year shows the impact that Nick has had, not only on the field but also amongst all of the staff members and players,” VFL Operations Manager Ash Brown said.

“He is polite, always respectful and talks to anyone no matter what their role is at the Club.

“He is someone that I think staff feel confident and happy to ask Nick to do something. He’s always wanting to do extra and help out where he can.

“It’s a staff only vote, so that just goes to show that he’s received votes from every area of our Football Club – from the coaching staff, to the trainers, to the volunteers to the high performance staff.

“It shows that character that Nick is to win an award like this.

“It’s great recognition for the person that Nick is, he is a great person to have around our Club.”
