Kobe Mutch underwent surgery on his knee yesterday and will be sidelined for five weeks.

High-Performance Manager, Justin Crow, said it was necessary for Mutch to go under the knife to fully eliminate pain he was experiencing.

“Kobe was suffering knee pain and it got to the point where it was affecting his training,” Crow said.

“He went for an arthroscope yesterday and he will be looking to return to play in between five to six weeks.”

The 19 year old is coming off the back of a promising 2017 season where he polled second in Essendon VFL’s best and fairest.
