Further scans today have determined midfielder David Zaharakis will require surgery on his injured sternoclavicular joint.
The 28-year–old met with shoulder specialist Mr Greg Hoy this afternoon and it was determined surgery was the best solution.
It is expected Zaharakis will spend at least six weeks on the sideline as he recovers from the operation.
Zaharakis suffered the injury in the opening term of last Saturday’s Dreamtime at the ‘G.
