Adrian Dodoro has detailed Damien Peverill's journey in the latest episode of Dodcast, describing the popular ex-Bomber as one of his "favourite stories and people of all time".

Knocked back by four clubs before Dodoro selected him at pick 32 in the 2000 rookie draft, Peverill went on to play 144 distinguished games for Essendon, the club he grew up barracking for.

The gutsy midfielder delivered on the promises made in a letter to then-coach Kevin Sheedy before he was drafted, despite Sheedy being oblivious to the fact the letter had been written by Dodoro.
