Essendon's wheelchair side will play in the 2020 Round Robin Carnival semi-finals this weekend.

Essendon’s Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) team is through to the penultimate weekend of AFL Victoria’s 2020 Round Robin Carnival.

The VWFL side are set to play off in a do-or-die semi-final, with a Grand Final place up for grabs.

Essendon’s wheelchair team enter Sunday’s first semi-final against Richmond having finished second, winning all games bar one in the eight qualifying rounds of the normal season.

If the VFWL side win their semi-final, they’ll play in the Grand Final immediately after.

While spectators won’t be allowed to watch the finals in person due to coronavirus restrictions, a livestream of both games can be viewed via AFL Victoria's facebook page.
