Essendon will face Geelong on a revised date following an update to fixtures for the 2021 AAMI Community Series.

The Bombers will now play the Cats on Saturday, March 6 at GMHBA Stadium, with bounce-down slated for 7:10pm AEDT.

Essendon’s previously fixtured game against GWS at Manuka Oval on Friday, March 5 has been scrapped after the AFL announced a reduced pre-season series to safeguard the health and safety of the competition and the community by reducing travel prior to the home-and-away season.

The AFL has previously announced clubs will also be able to play one practice match against a team from the same state in the last week of February, however, no details have been confirmed at this stage.
