Essendon Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Larkin to the position of chief communications and marketing officer.

Larkin has tendered his resignation from the position of general manager of marketing, communications and digital from the Melbourne Football Club after a 15-year contribution across a variety of marketing and communications roles.

CEO Xavier Campbell welcomed Larkin’s appointment to the club’s executive team.

“Above and beyond his general media and communications experience, Ryan has a strong reputation across the AFL industry for his stakeholder management and managing the club’s brand and marketing strategy,” Campbell said.

“Ryan is a progressive thinker and strategist who has a successful track record of commercialising digital assets across community and commercial in particular.

Larkin will commence in his role at the Essendon Football Club on Monday, March 15.
