Essendon and RMIT University are collaborating across a number of areas including Indigenous and multicultural engagement, sports technology research, esports and education pathways.

Highlighting the club's partnership with RMIT University is the Essendon Education Academy, where students undertake a dual Diploma of Business and Diploma of Leadership and Management in a one-year full-time program hosted at the NEC Hangar.

Paralympics Australia

A long-standing partnership focused on the Bombers’ shared commitment to improving health, access and sporting opportunity for all Australians.

Essendon and Paralympics Australia share The Hangar facilities, with the club providing administration, training and recovery facilities in support of the nation’s elite and aspiring para-athletes.

Paralympics Australia’s national wheelchair rugby team is based at the facility, with national wheelchair basketball and table tennis programs, among other Paralympics sports holding national camps and training at The Hangar.
