The Bombers face a big test this Friday night. Not only do they come up against the in-form Adelaide Crows, they also have to take them on at AAMI Stadium – the Bombers’ hoodoo ground. Essendon has not won at AAMI Stadium since Round 16, 2000 when they defeated Port Adelaide by 31-points.

Essendon has played at AAMI Stadium six times since that win - and lost to Port Adelaide on four occasions and Adelaide has sent the Bombers home without the four points two other times. The most significant losses at AAMI Stadium for Essendon have occurred over the past two seasons. Port Adelaide booted the Bombers out of the finals in both 2002 and 2003.
