Following the Bombers' 41-point defeat to Melbourne on Sunday, head of medical services Megan Smith provides an update on the side's health and highlights some individual performances.

Performance

Alana Barba put in an impressive effort for a small defender, covering a total of 8.3 kilometres, with 135 metres per minute and 21.1 per cent classed as high-speed. 

Sophie Van De Heuvel also ranked highly on the GPS figures, totalling 7.9 kilometres, with a work rate of 125 metres per minute. 

Jess Wuetschner and Federica Frew recorded their best numbers for the season. 

As a high forward, Frew had a work rate of 121 metres per minute with 19.5 per cent done at high speed, whereas Wuetschner was impressive with 26 per cent and 113 metres per minute. 

Injury

Ellyse Gamble

Ellyse has made great progress in her recovery from a calf injury. Ellyse will train fully this week and if she gets through both main sessions, she will be available for selection for our final game.
