Some of what the fans had to say:
""Another good season. Definitely one of Essendon's best with great disposal. If he can work on endurance would like to see him spend some time in the midfield.""
""Consistently one of the best players all year. Never gave up and was one of the teams best players along with the Johnson boys. Still an underrated player in our team - he stepped up when needed and never played a bad game all year.""
""Another consistent year from Rama - good skills and use of the footy. Will become even more important when he steps up again next year.""
""A key player who was again instrumental all over the ground for the Bombers.""
""Continued good form and consistency this year. Asked to take more responsibility and responded well. Good defensive skills and fantastic ball handling, as well as kicking to a target. Would like to see more in midfield.""
""Absolute natural player who has a long career with Essendon. Would like to see him attack the goals a bit more.""
""Adam became a player of quality this season. He ran through the lines and helped set up play. He was the best of our second tier players and if continues on next year will become a player opposing clubs will have to watch week in week out.""
""Adam had a great year and is a very exciting player. When the injuries mounted he was one that took an on-field role of leading the younger players. Exciting player with a great future and is handy in all positions.""
The wash up:
The fan's were impressed with Ramanauskas's 2002 season. They thought the 22-year-old stood up especially in the absence of Hird, Lloyd and Misiti. The fan's believe Ramanauskas's skills and leg speed are damaging to the opposition and is always reliable. The fan's are in agreement that he is a very important player in the Essendon team and would like to see him play more of a role in the mid-field in the future.
What Mark Harvey has to say:
""Whilst Rama came third in the best and fairest, he now needs to set his mind upon dominating the competition, because he has the ability. He can either be the player he was in 2002 or he can go another 10% and I have explained that to him. He has to set himself to be a permanent mid-fielder and start having opposition players following him around, rather than him following them around. He is an exciting player and talent and he was a fantastic choice at pick 12 in the 1998 National Draft.”
