Essendon’s hard work over the pre-season will be put to the test when they travel to Perth to take on West Coast and Fremantle in round one of the NAB Cup on Sunday.
The 32-man squad released today will see new draftees Elliott Kavanagh, Nick O’Brien and Jackson Merrett line up for the Bombers for the first time.
Among those making the trip west are senior players Mark McVeigh and David Hille along with 2011 Crichton medallist David Zaharakis.
