Myers supports Fatality Free Friday
Essendon defender David Myers today helped launch Fatality Free Friday, a campaign aimed at urging people across Australia to ‘take the pledge’ in a bid to ensure not a single road death in Australia occurs for just one day. Caltex, Essendon's member partner, is the major sponsor of the campaign that targeted every capital city to raise awareness for the initiative.

Caltex, Essendon's member partner, is the major sponsor of the campaign that targeted every capital city to raise awareness for the initiative.
Myers said he felt a personal connection to the cause after losing a friend in a road tragedy.
""I lost a mate from high school not long after graduating back in Western Australia and it is such a terrible tragedy for a life to be taken on the road,"" Myers said.
""We all need to practice common sense and patience on the roads because it's just not worth it.""
