What was your mum’s reaction when you were drafted? She started crying. She was just so happy that Jackson and I have ended up at the same club

What is your favourite holiday destination? London
Do you have any hidden talents? I can play some cricket
Do you have any pre-game superstitions? Not yet
Merrett on being drafted to Essendon:
“It’s an amazing feeling. It is pretty hard to put in to words as it is just an amazing club, and with the proud history it has. It makes it that little bit more special I think, firstly to go to a club but then to have your brother there is the cream on top."
