The FAQs below relate to access for games played at Marvel Stadium and the MCG in 2021.

I am a 2021 EFC member. Will I have access to games in 2021?

Yes, Essendon members will have the first opportunity to access Essendon home games. Members will be allocated one of three priority group on-sale times determined by membership type:

Priority Group 1: High Mark and Silver reserved seat members. At Marvel Stadium, High Mark members will have first access to seating on Level 2.

Priority Group 2: Bronze reserved seat members

Priority Group 3: General admission access members, including all Flexi members, and AFL members with Essendon club support*.

*AFL Members will have access to tickets into the AFL Reserve through AFL Membership. AFL Membership will provide further details once confirmed.

How do I redeem a ticket?

Members will be required to redeem a ticket during a determined on-sale period for each game. To do so, members will be required to use the 12-digit barcode number on the back of their member card, entering it into the website of the relevant ticketing agent (Ticketmaster at Marvel Stadium, Ticketek at the MCG).

The club will provide match specific information about the ticket redemption process the week prior to each game.

Please ensure your membership contact details, especially your email address, are up to date so you do not miss these communications.

Will I be required to pay to redeem a ticket?

No, reserved seat members will not be required to pay to redeem a ticket.

Members with general admission access will be eligible to redeem a ticket in the 'Level 3: (Beyond Premium)' category free of charge, subject to availability. General admission members are also able to upgrade their seat to a higher category for an upgrade fee payable through the ticketing agent, subject to availability.

Where do I find my barcode?

Your 12-digit barcode can be found on the back of your member card. The Membership Team will provide game specific information via email each week, including your barcode for reference. You can also access your membership barcode here.

I am a reserved seat member. Can I sit in my reserved seat?

No, due to social distancing requirements you will be required to redeem a seat via the relevant ticketing agent using your member barcode.

The club will do everything possible to ensure members are seated as close as possible to their usual reserved seat. Should you wish to be allocated a particular category of seating, please select 'Best Available' and then switch to your preferred seating category from the options provided.

Can I sit with people who I usually sit with?

Yes, members will be able to redeem tickets in group sizes within the transaction limit (six tickets). In order to do so, members must provide the barcodes of all members of their group within one transaction.

Do I get access to away games as a member?

Yes, an allocation of tickets will be available for away teams. Members with reserved away seats will be given priority access to redeem these tickets, and any remaining tickets will be made available for members with away access memberships.

I have reserved away seats. Can I use them for an away game?

No, due to social distancing requirements you will be required to redeem a seat via the relevant ticketing agent using your member barcode. The club will do everything possible to ensure members are seated as close as possible to their usual reserved seat.

Away teams will have a limited allocation of tickets available and members with away reserved seats will be given priority access.

Can I use my member card to scan in?

No, members must redeem a seat from the relevant ticketing agent to access games during the 2021 home and away Season. The 12-digit barcode can be found on the back of 2021 member cards and will be required to redeem tickets. You can also access your membership barcode here.

I am not a member. How do I get access?

Any tickets not redeemed during the member on-sale will be made available to the general public for sale. We do not anticipate there will be remaining tickets after the member on-sales unless capacity restrictions are eased significantly throughout the season.

Can I sit with a non-member?

Non-members will not have access to tickets unless there is a general public on-sale. We do not recommend waiting for a general public on-sale if you have access to the member priority on-sale, as the best available tickets will be exhausted during this period.

I’m a Bomber Squad Member. How do I get tickets in the cheer squad area?

Bomber Squad members will be provided their own link to redeem tickets into the cheer squad area. Keep an eye out for an email with all the details you will need on the Thursday the week prior to each match.

My children are aged five or under and they usually attend matches free without taking up a seat. Can we still do this?

Juniors aged five and under are still eligible to enter the venue free of charge however they must hold a ticket and be counted in the capacity. When redeeming your member ticket, you will be given the opportunity to redeem an additional ticket for a junior aged five or under via the relevant ticketing agent.

My membership is in Priority 1, but I want to sit with other members who are in Priority 2 and 3. Can we book tickets together?

You can, however you will only be able to book together from the on-sale time of the lowest priority member in your group. For example, if you are in Priority 1 but want to sit with someone who is in Priority 2, you will only be able to redeem your tickets together from the Priority 2 on-sale time and so on.

I’m in Priority 1 or 2 but missed my on-sale time. Can I still redeem tickets?

Yes. You will be able to redeem tickets throughout the remaining on-sale times until tickets are sold out. Seating is allocated in a best available process, so we recommend you book during your on-sale time to get seating as close as possible to your normal reserved seats.

I am a Silver or High Mark Member. Will we still have access to the member rooms at Marvel Stadium and the MCG?

At the moment, with the restrictions in crowd movement and the stadium being split into 11 zones, the Victory Room won’t be open. Once these restrictions ease, we will open this room again for our members to access. The Quill Room at Marvel Stadium will be open for High Mark members for the round three game against the Saints.

I require accessible seating. How do I redeem this using my membership?

Both Ticketmaster for matches at Marvel Stadium, and Ticketek for matches at the MCG have a process available for you to book accessible seating. For Ticketmaster click here. For Ticketek click here. These requests must be completed prior to the on-sale window.

How many tickets can I book in one transaction?

The maximum number of tickets you can redeem in one transaction is 10. If you have more than six members in your group, you will need to split your group into smaller groups of six or less.

Do I need to redeem my tickets by a certain time?

Members have until 9am on the Wednesday the week of the match to redeem their tickets, unless tickets are sold out prior.

Additional information about the ticket redemption period:

  • Please note tickets will be allocated on a first-in, first-served basis.
  • Ticket delivery is via mobile only. Members will receive an SMS and email from the ticketing agent with their ticket/s for the game. We recommend members download the app for easy access or you can save your ticket/s to your mobile wallet. Ensure your phone is charged on game day as you will need this to scan your ticket. Tickets cannot be printed off.
  • Only members with match-day access will be eligible to redeem a ticket. All other members must wait for the general public on-sale.
  • Members who miss the allocated timeslot will need to wait for the general public on-sale to access a ticket.
  • Unfortunately, the club will be unable to redeem tickets on your behalf, however the membership team will be happy to step you through the process.
  • Members can only redeem one ticket per barcode.
  • Tickets are limited to six tickets per transaction.
  • Juniors under the age of six and older than 12 months will require a ticket.
  • No guest tickets will be available during the member redemption timeslot. Members wishing to attend with non-members must wait for the general public on-sale. However, by waiting for the general public,  on-sale members will risk missing out.
  • All members and fans will be required to follow the venue COVID-safe measures and will be required to sit in their allocated seat listed on their ticket.
  • The stadium will be split into different zones. Patrons will not be able to cross over into other zones on match day. You must remain in your zone where your seat is allocated.
  • As the stadium will be operating at a reduced capacity, there will only be a small allocation of tickets. Please only redeem a ticket if you can attend the game. Tickets cannot be returned to the club.
