Pledge direct to the club
Pledging your membership direct to the club means you are choosing to maintain your 2020 membership amount and your membership payments will remain with the club.
You will continue to receive member benefits (excluding match access) including member exclusive emails and you will maintain voting rights in 2020 (subject to voting eligibility).
In the event that spectators may attend AFL matches later in the 2020 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, you will be provided with access to the matches applicable to your original package (subject to availability, AFL and Government restrictions and applicable health measures).
If you stop your monthly instalments you can pledge the amount already paid to the club.
All membership payments pledged to the club will remain with the club (except for any GST payable to the ATO) and will not be passed on to the AFL, Marvel Stadium or the MCC.
Convert to a tax-deductible donation
By choosing this option, your membership payments (less $20) will be provided to the Australian Sports Foundation as a tax-deductible donation with a nomination to support the club as a beneficiary.
You will receive a receipt from the Australian Sports Foundation for your donation.
If you choose this option, you will not be entitled to match access for 2020 and your donation cannot be reversed.
$20 from your membership amount will be retained by the club to reflect the value of benefits already provided and this component of the membership amount is not tax deductible.
Other
Consecutive years of membership will be honoured, regardless of the option selected, if you purchase a 2021 membership by July 31, 2021.
The options above are available only for memberships purchased before May 14, 2020. You may still be eligible for a refund if entitled under the Australian Consumer Law.
If you have purchased a reserved seat membership in 2020, your reserved seats will be protected in 2021 if your membership is renewed before the cut-off date outlined in your 2021 renewal notice.
If you do not advise the club of your preferred option by May 25, 2020, the club will rely on that non-response as your consent to the club proceeding to collect your remaining 2020 membership payments. You will, however, be able to obtain a refund of any further payments collected and stop any subsequent payments by contacting the club.
