Sally Curtain
Sally joined the Board in July 2026, bringing more than 30 years of senior executive leadership experience. She serves as the Chief Executive of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of Victoria’s oldest and largest member-based organisations, representing and supporting Victorian businesses statewide.
Her extensive career spans the government, transport, justice, and education sectors. Notable past positions include Chief Executive of Bendigo Kangan Institute, senior regulator at VicRoads, and establishing the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC). Sally has a strong history of delivering vital services to communities across Melbourne’s north-west.
An experienced director holding an MBA and GAICD, Sally serves on the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board and several key Victorian Government advisory committees. Recognised among Australia’s leading executives, including in the Herald Sun’s Top 100 female founders and CEOs, Sally is also a lifelong Essendon supporter.
Above all, Sally firmly believes that the members are the absolute lifeblood of the Essendon Football Club. Her primary focus on the Board is to ensure the club consistently delivers on their expectations, driving strong governance and sustained success to reward the unwavering loyalty of the Bomber faithful.
