The entire Bombers team joined their adoring fans at Queens Park for a day of fun and frivolity at the Essendon Family Day yesterday.

Unlike previous Family Days held at Windy Hill, this year’s event was integrated with the 2007 Moonee Valley Festival and formed a component of the Festival’s overall activities.

The move provided supporters with the opportunity to not only celebrate everything red and black but also to appreciate the talents of the local community with a mix of art, music and culture on display throughout the wider festival.

Supporters jumped at the chance to get up close and personal with the team, testing their skills in a mini draft camp while comparing their results to some of the Bombers’ best.

Others preferred to grab an autograph or a photo with some of their Essendon heroes.

However the highlight of most fans’ day was watching the entire team receive their 2007 Guernseys from Sheedy while hearing all the player’s aspirations for the coming season.

And from most responses, it seems the boys are confident about the year ahead and urge you to get on board as they Fightback in 2007.
