Essendon Football Club wishes to thank assistant coach Dan Jordan, who will be departing the Bombers after seven seasons.

Jordan commenced at the club in 2015 as a VFL assistant coach while working full-time outside football, before transitioning into a full-time coaching position in 2016 as a development coach.

From 2017 to 2019, he led the Bombers as VFL senior coach before being elevated to an AFL assistant coach ahead of the 2020 season.

“Dan’s career at Essendon is a great story of persistence and willingness to take on new challenges when the opportunity arose,” Mahoney said.

“Dan’s work ethic, sense of humour and ability to connect with the playing group was greatly appreciated and we thank him for his dedication to the club since 2015.

“We wish him all the best for his future endeavours as he pursues new opportunities.”
