There was an uncanny sense of deja vu about Essendon's emphatic 25-point win over Carlton. The star of the first half, setting up victory with his hard work and inspiring play, wasn't one of Kevin Sheedy's baby Bombers but a 37 year old ruckman who first pulled on an Essendon jumper in 1983. Jason Johnson was also superb, but the win was soured with yet another injury - this time to key midfielder Joe Misiti.
Joe Misiti will lead the Bombers out tonight against Carlton in the big round 7 clash at the MCG. Misiti has been superb for the Bombers this season, and in captain James Hird's absence will skipper the side in this important match. The Bombers have just completed their warm up and the side will line up as selected.
