Essendon recently completed the first of its annual member surveys for 2019, receiving more than 3400 responses.

Members rated their overall satisfaction 8.3 out of 10 – an increase of 0.4 from 2018. The average across the league at the end of 2018 was 7.8.

There were improved ratings in all areas measured, including:

  • Membership pack items
  • Speed of delivery
  • Knowledge, helpfulness and professionalism of staff
  • Member recognition
  • Club's efforts to make members feel part of the club

Head of membership Carla Marturano said the results were reflective of changes made on the back of previous member feedback.

“We’re satisfied with the results, but we’ll continue to improve based on the feedback we receive from our members,” Marturano said.

Members were also asked to nominate the game they were most looking forward to, with the two best responses receiving their 2019 membership free.  The winners were:

  • Steve McNamara - Korumburra
  • Rachel Sellings - Alberton West

A second survey will be conducted at the conclusion of the season.
